This Indenture, Made this 17th day of November A.D. 1883 between Augustus H. Hoober, a single 
man, of Harper County, in the State of Kansas of the first part, and J. W. Hoober of Harper 
County, the State of Kansas of the second part:

Witnesseth, That said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of the One Hundred 
and 00/100 Dollars, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents, grant, 
bargain, sell, and convey unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, all the 
following described real estate, situated in the County of Harper and State of Kansas, to wit:

A square tract of land containing five (5) acres pit pf the North East corner of the North West 
Quarter (1/4) of Section No. Twenty Eight (28) In Township No. Thirty two (32) South of Range No. 
Six (6) West of the Sixth (6) Principal Meridian.

To Have and to Hold the Same, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments, and 
appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining, forever: And said Augustus H. 
Hoober for himself, his heirs, executors, or administrators, does hereby covenant, promise, and 
agree to and with said party of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents he is 
lawfully seized in his own right, of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee 
simple, of and in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; 
that the same are free, clear, discharged, and unencumbered, of and from all former and other 
grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assessments and incumbrances, of what nature 
or kind soever;

Provid that there is yet due the U.S. the 3 last Installments of the purchase money for said land

And that he will Warrant and Forever Defend the same unto said party of the second part, his 
heirs and assigns, against said party of the first part his heirs, and all and every person or 
persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same.

In Witness Whereof, The said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand the day and year 
first above written.

Be it Remembered, That on this 17th day of November A.D. 1883, before me the undersigned, a 
Notary Public in and for the County and State aforesaid, came Augustus H. Hoober, a single man 
who is personally known to me to be the same person... who executed the within instrument of 
writing, and such person duly acknowledged the execution of the same.

This Indenture, Made this 23rd day of October A.D. 1886 between James W. Hoober and Percilla 
Hoober, husband and wife, of Harper County, in the State of Kansas of the first part, and 
Augustus A. Hoober and George W. Headley of Harper County, in the State of Kansas of the second 
part:

Witnesseth, That said parties of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred and 
no/100 Dollars the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents Grant, Bargain, 
Sell and Convey unto said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns, all the following 
described Real Estate, situated in the County of Harper and State of Kansas to wit:

Five acres in a square farm out of the North East corner of The East half of the North West 
quarter of Section Twenty eight (28) in Township Thirty two (32) South & Range six (6) West of 
the 6th P.M.

To Have and to Hold the Same, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and 
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, forever:
And said James W. Hoober and Percilla Hoober for themselves, their heirs, executors or 
administrators, do hereby covenant, promise and agree, to and with said parties of the second 
part, that at the delivery of these presents they are lawfully seized in their own right, of an 
absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of and in all and singular the 
above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, 
discharged and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, 
judgments, taxes, assessments and incumbrances, of nature or kind soever; and that they will 
Warrant And Forever Defend the same unto said parties of the second part, their heirs and 
assigns, against said parties of the first part, their heirs, and all and every person or persons 
whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same.

In Witness Whereof, The said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands the day and 
year first above written.

Notary Public in and for the County and State aforesaid, came James W. Hoober and Percilla Hoober, 
Husband and Wife, who are personally known to me to be the same persons who executed the within 
instrument of writing, and such persons duly acknowledged the execution of same.

In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my official Seal, the day and year 
last above written

This Indenture made this 25th day of June in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred 
and eighty seven, between George W. Headley and Mary A. Headley, (husband & wife) in the County 
of Harper and State of Kansas of the first part, and Augustus A. Hoober of the County of Harper 
and the State of Kansas of the second part,

Witnesseth that said parties of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred 
Dollars to him duly paid have sold and by these presents do grant and convey to the said party 
of the second part his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situated in the County 
of Harper and State of Kansas and described as follows to wit:

East 1/2 of NW 1/4 Sec 28" Twp 32 R 6 West 6 PM Harper County

with the appurtenances and all the estate title and interest of the said parties of the first 
part therein and the said parties of the first part do hereby covenant and agree that the delivery 
hereof they are the lawful owners of the above grated and seized of a good and indefeasible 
estate of inheritance therein free and clear of all incumbrances except one mortgage of $600.00, 
one for $60.00 and one for $30.00, which said 2nd party agrees to assume and pay as a part of the 
purchase price and that they will warrant and defend the same in the quiet and peaceable possession 
of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever against all persons lawfully 
claiming the same.

Witnesseth, That said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Fifteen Hundred 
and no/100 Dollars, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents Grant, 
Bargain, Sell and Convey unto said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, all the 
following described Real Estate, situated in the County of Harper and State of Kansas, to-wit:

The E. half of N.W. quarter Section 28 Twp. 32 R. 6 W. 6th P.M. Harper County

To Have and to Hold the Same, together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and 
appurtenances thereunto belonging or anywise appertaining, forever. And said Grantors for 
themselves, their heirs, executors or administrators, do hereby covenant, promise and agree, 
to and with said parties of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents they are 
lawfully seized in their own right, of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in 
fee simple, of and in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the 
appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, discharged and unencumbered of and from all former 
and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assessments and incumbrances, of 
nature or kind soever; 

Except one mortgage of $600.00, one for $60.00, which said 2nd party agrees to assume and pay 
as part of the purchase price

and that they will Warrant and Forever Defend the same unto said parties of the second part, 
their heirs and assigns, against said parties of the first part, their heirs, and all and every 
person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same.

To all whom these Presents shall come, Greeting:

Osage Trust Lands Certificate No. 18782

Whereas, Augustus H. Hoober of Harper County, Kansas of Harper County, Kansas has deposited in 
the General Land Office of the United States a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office 
at Wichita, Kansas, whereby it appears that full payment has been made by the said Augustus H. 
Hoober according to the provisions of the Act of Congress of the 24th of April, 1820, entitled 
"An Act making Further Provision for the Sale of the Public Lands," and the acts supplemental 
thereto, for...

The East half of the North West quarter of Section twenty eight in township thirty two South of 
range Six West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Kansas. Containing eighty acres.

according to the official plat of the survey of the said lands, returned to the General Land 
Office by the Surveyor General, which said tract has been purchased by the said Augustus H. 
Hoober.

Now, Know Ye, That the United States of America, in consideration of the premises, and in 
conformity with the several acts of Congress in such case made and provided, Have Given And 
Granted, and by the presents Do Give And Grant, unto the said Augustus H. Hoober and his heirs, 
the said tract... above described: To Have And To Hold the same, together with all the rights, 
privileges, immunities, and appurtenances, of whatsoever nature, thereunto belonging, unto said 
Augustus H. Hoober and to his heirs and assigns, forever.

In Testimony Whereof, I, Grover Cleveland, President of the United States of America, have caused 
these letters to be made patent, and the seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed.

Given under my hand, at the City of Washington, the Twenty first day of July, in the year of our 
Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight, and of the Independence of the United States 
the one hundred and thirteenth.
