THE OSKALOOSA INDEPENDENT,
(Oskaloosa, Kansas), 20 Nov 1896]
Obituary of WILLIAM WILEY
The body of William Wiley was bro't to town last Friday noon and after services at the Presbyterian church was laid to rest at Pleasant View. The Woodmen of Osawkie and of this place turned out in goodly numbers and took part in the services. Deceased's brother, Henry B. Wiley, after being with him for months, left for Topeka the very evening of the night in which Will. died, and as he left no address, it was impossible to reach him with a message.
