After much analysis of these meat market photos, I will state what Curt Niederee and I have concluded.
About 1909 - City Meat Market. Behind counter Walter Louis Niederee - 7 1/2 years old. His father Louis Niederee - 39 1/2 slim possibility the aged man on the left is Conrad Niederee, father of Louis, who had come to America from Germany in 1854, married in 1859 in McLean County, Illinois, and movedto Larnedafter 1900 census, and died June 1909. He is buried in Larned City Cemetery.
No date - Abt 1918 - Walter Louis maybe 18. Louis - maybe 50. We are guessing with this. The young man on left could be Walter Louis. The man on right appears to be same man as in -6 photo - Louis Niederee with a hat on his head.
Walter Louis on is on the right.- Maybe 20. Sure wish we could see the date on the calendar to know for sure. This photo appears to be the latest or most recent. Note the ceiling tiles and the wooden floor - as compared to the photo above with the linoleum on the floor and the falling-off-the-ceiling wallpaper. However, the ceiling light fixture is more modern in the top photo. Note the spool of string to tie up the packages with.
no date -Man in white behind counter is Walter Louis Niederee. This has to be the oldest most recent photo because Walter Louis is an older man. The month on the calendar appears to be May - but cannot read the year. The man on left could be his father Louis. The date has to be late 1920s or early1930s as Walter Louis married in 1929. He hadtried Pharmacy college, but thenwent back into his father's meat business.
Man behind counter - Walter Louis Niederee.
Man to left unknown. Note the sign "Margarine" on left side. Surprised to learn
that margarine was created in 1870s. This is the best we can do.
