NAME, DATE OF DEATH: Vuferd Lee Barber, 86, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001

DATE OF BIRTH and LOCATION: Aug. 2, 1915, on the family farm in Graham County, Kansas

PARENTS: Joseph Abraham and Minnie Mable (Hawks) Barber

SURVIVORS: His wife, Lucille Marie (Yeagy) Barber, of the home; three sons, Robert, Elizabeth, Colo., Kenneth, Craig, Colo., and Douglas, Palco; a daughter, Betty Burton, Shawnee; two brothers, Vernon, Hays, and Joe, Oberlin; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: A grandchild, a brother, Virgil, and four half-brothers, Roy, John, and Marion Lumpkins, and a half-sister, Ethel Trexler
