Obituary of AMELIA WEEDIN |
Mrs. C.C. Weedin Dies in Nebraska Funeral services were held at Rich Hill, Mo., Sept 9 for Mrs. C. C. Weedin, the former Amelia Strecker of Russell. Mrs. Weedin passed away Sept. 5 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha, Neb. Mrs. Weedin was the daughter of J. Peter and Christina (Dumler) Strecker. She was born in Russell, Aug. 19, 1893, attended Russell schools and was married Dec. 24, 1917, to Caleb Weedin at Russell. Survivors include her husband, Caleb, of Omaha, Neb., two brothers, Henry of Russell and Alex of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Lydia Dumler, Longmont Colo.; two half sisters, Miss Minnie Strecker and Mrs. Bertha Havel of Russell and Fred Heinze of Greensburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mrs. Mollie Michaelis. Services were held at the Booth Funeral Chapel with Rev. Vern Sword officiating. Interment was at the Green Lawn Cemetery at Rich Hill, Mo. Attending services for their sister and aunt on Monday were Miss Minnie Strecker and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert J. Michaelis, Russell; Mrs. John A. Brown, Jr., Gorham, and Mrs. Jake Reich, Paradise. |
