Obituary of DAVID H. STEINERT |
David H. Steinert, 83, 265 W. 2nd, died late Tuesday morning (25 December 1969) at the Hoisington Hospital, where he had been a patient five days. Born Dec. 12, 1886 in Russia, he married Hannah Keil June 15, 1905 at
Milberger. He had been a retired farmer of the Galatia area and moved to Hoisington in 1959. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Survivors include the widow; son, B.V. Steinert, Hildreth, Neb.; five daughters, Mrs. Richard (Estella) Morgenstern (per hand written note with the obituary, Estella was adopted by David) Galatia; Mrs. Herman (Elzenna) Funk; Otis; Mrs. Dan (Hulda) Bitter, Mrs. M. O. (Lorraine) Kitson and Mrs. Wilburn (Ada) Smith, all of Hoisington; brothers, Ben K. and Sieg K., both of Great Bend; sister, Mrs. George Tittel, Russell, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church with the Rev. G. Weise officiating. Burial will be in the Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Sunday at the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 1st and Green. The casket will not be opened at the church at any time. (Funeral Card) |
