Obituary of ROLAND A. RESNER |
Roland A. Resner, son of Frederick and Christina Resner, was born Sept. 24, 1911, in a farm home in Barton County, Kan. He died Oct. 17, 1966 at the Russell City Hospital at the age of 55 years. In early infancy, he was baptized and in adolescence was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Milberger, Kan. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Russell, at the time of his death (17 October 1966). On June 9, 1935, he married Isabel Mermis. To this marriage were born two children. Roland served as postmaster of the Susank Post Office from 1939 until 1948. At this time, he transferred to the Russell Post Office, and was employed as a rural mail carrier until his death. He became a member of the Elks Lodge when the family moved to Russell.
Throughout his life, he was blessed with good health and a happy life. All those who knew him will hold him in everlasting love, esteem and respect. Any lengthy eulogy is unnecessary because those near and dear to him will always treasure the memories of his many sacrifices to provide for and protect his family. |
