Obituary of  JOHN COX
John COX, the youngest son of John and Rebecca COX was born near where Frankfort, Kansas now stands, Sept 21, 1865 and departed this life at
his home near Haddam, Nov 28, 1932 at the age of 69 years, 2 months and 7 days.

His father died before he was born and his mother moved to Haddam community in the year 1867 where he grew to manhood and was known far and near.

He was united in marriage to Eliza CRAMER, of
Haddam, Sept 21, 1892. To this union was born one son, Roy.

From this son he was never separated and they were constant companions and partners in work and play. He united with the Methodist Protestant Church of Haddam when about 20 years of age under the pastorate of Rev. HANSON, second pastor of this church. He was on of the faithful
helpers in the rebuilding of the church. Under the ministry of Rev. STRICKLER he rededicated his life and remained a loyal supporter of the church until the end. He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife, son
Roy, daughter-in-law Hallie and three grandchildren, Bobbie and the twins, Arlie and Audrey, two sisters, Emily STROUD of Bayard, NE, Tilda STROUD of Sioux Falls, SD, a half-sister Henrietta FOSTER of CA, a sister-in-law Mrs. Anna COX of Haddam, several nephews and nieces, a large circle of neighbors, friends and acquaintances. He was a kind
and considerate husband and father and will be greatly missed by his grandchildren also. Funeral services were held at the Haddam Church, Wed, Nov 30, conducted by Rev. L.E. DIXON. Interment was made in the Haddam Cemetery.
