Obituary of SAMUEL BRACK |
Samuel Brack, 74, Route 2, Russell, died Sunday (January 9, 1972) morning at Russell Hospital. He was born Sept. 9, 1897, in Barton County near Otis, to John G. and Anna Brack. He was a farmer at Otis a short time, but had lived on the present farm since 1944. He married Elma Dumler, April 20, 1930, in Russell. He was a member of the United Emanuel Lutheran Church at Milberger. Survivors include the widow; two sons, Melvin of Ness City and LaVern, Escondido, California, and a daughter Mrs. Frank (Isabelle) Untereiner, Russell; a brother, Elmer Brack, Denver, Colo.; and a sister, Matilda Brauer, Omaha, Neb.; and nine grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the United Emanuel Lutheran Church, with Rev. Gilbert Kisling officiating. Burial will be in Galatia Cemetery." (Personal note: I was at this funeral. It was a cold day, and as the ceremony at the cemetery ended it started to snow.) (Funeral Card) |
