Walter HOLMAN (son of Joseph Taylor HOLMAN and Harriet Frances LYNCH) was born on 9 Apr 1879. He died on 1 Aug 1965 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co, KS. He was buried in Milan Cem, Sumner Co, KS. Moved to Sharon KS in 1907, later lived in Wichita.
Walter HOLMAN and Eva Maria SHAFER were married on 23 Aug 1903. Eva Maria SHAFER (daughter of Alonzo Wallace SHAFER and Lozina Elizabeth WATKINS) was born on 10 Nov 1877 in Monroe Co, IA. She died on 10 Apr 1956 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co, KS. She was buried on 12 Apr 1956 in Milan Cem, Sumner Co, KS. Eva and Walter lived near Sharon, KS until 1937 and then moved to Wichita. She was a member of the Meridian Avenue Baptist Church. Walter HOLMAN and Eva Maria SHAFER had the following children:
I. Lena Frances HOLMAN was born on 11 Apr 1905 in Marlow, Stephens Co, OK. She died on 19 Oct 1985 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co, KS. She was buried on 22 Oct 1985 in Resthaven Cem, Wichita, KS.Lena Frances HOLMAN and Charles Glenn RUCKER were married on 19 Feb 1928 in Sharon, Barber Co, KS. Charles Glenn RUCKER (son of Hammond Ellis RUCKER and Ella May MCGREW) was born on 6 Aug 1903. He died on 8 Dec 1992 in OK. He was buried on 11 Dec 1992 in Resthaven Cem, Wichita, KS.
II. Lozina Pearl HOLMAN was born on 4 Sep 1907. She died on 19 Jul 1950 in KS.
Lozina Pearl HOLMAN and Lloyd Earle TROTTER were married on 30 Dec 1930. Lloyd Earle TROTTER died in 1980.
III. Emma Josephine HOLMAN was born on 8 Nov 1909. She died on 7 May 1997 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co, KS. She was buried on 10 May 1997 in Attica Cem, Harper Co, KS. Resided just east of Sharon, KS in Barber Co. until Cecil died. Later moved into Attica, KS and was in a nursing home there the last couple of years of her life.
Emma Josephine HOLMAN and Cecil Elbert MCKEEVER were married on 4 Sep 1932. Cecil Elbert MCKEEVER (son of John MCKEEVER and Mary) was born on 1 Nov 1910 near Sharon, Barber Co, KS. He died on 14 Jul 1988 in Medicine Lodge, Barber Co, KS.
IV. Elmer Wallace HOLMAN was born on 5 Feb 1912. He died on 27 Jul 1912. He was buried on 28 Jul 1912 in Milan Cem, Sumner Co, KS. From an obituary in an unspecified newspaper: "Little Elmer Holman _ The funeral of Elmer Wallace Holman, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Holman, of Sharon, Kansas, was well attended Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church. The services were conducted by the pastor, F. G. Wilkerson, and the body was laid to rest in the Milan cemetery to wait the resurrection. He was born February 5, 1912 and died July 27, 1912, aged 5 months and 22 days."
V. Walter Victor HOLMAN was born on 11 May 1915 in Sharon, Barber Co, KS. He died on 27 Mar 1993 in KS. He was buried on 30 Mar 1993 in Leon Cem, Butler Co, KS. Occupation: Banker in Leon, KS.
Walter Victor HOLMAN and Helen Lee YOUNG were married on 13 Apr 1935. Helen Lee YOUNG (daughter of Homer Raymond YOUNG and Sadie Emily PINKERTON) was born on 2 Aug 1916 in Trinchera, Las Animas Co, CO.
VI. Arthur Vernon HOLMAN was born on 14 Jul 1918 in Sharon, Barber Co, KS.
Arthur Vernon HOLMAN and Elva Ann NELSON were married on 13 Jun 1942. Elva Ann NELSON (daughter of Lawrence T NELSON and Mabel OLSON) was born on 1 Aug 1917 in Concordia, Cloud Co, KS.
VII. Melvin Vade HOLMAN was born on 4 Oct 1920 in Sharon, Barber Co, KS. Occupation: Physician Melvin Vade HOLMAN and Elva May JEFFRIES were married on 16 Sep 1942 in Spearville, Ford Co, KS. Elva May JEFFRIES (daughter of Charley JEFFRIES and Grace B) was born on 7 Aug 1919 in Milan, Sumner Co, KS.
