Catherine O. Sawyer, 79, died January 30, 2008, in Medicine Lodge.She was born Sept. 20, 1928, south of Laird, Colo., the daughter of Ben and Leola (Fisher) Trembly. A resident of Medicine Lodge since 1954, coming from Laird, Colo. most recently living in Sharon, she was a homemaker and a sales representative for Avon.
She belonged to the Community Bible Fellowship Church, Medicine Lodge, taught Sunday school and Bible School at Sun City Baptist Church, Sun City, and First Baptist Church, was a 4-H leader and was in a Powder Puff Bowling League.
On June 2, 1947, she married Charles R. Sawyer Sr. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Charles Jr., Sharon; two daughters, Janice Rhodes, Willamsburg, Joyce Smith, San Quintin, Mexico; two brothers, Jake Trembly, Cozad, Neb., Dwayne Trembly, Cheyenne, Wyo; four sisters, Violet Moss, Wellington, Marty Evans, Wray Colo., Ruth Houston, Wray Colo., Crystal Zion, Idalia, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Friday at Community Bible Fellowship, Medicine Lodge. Interment was at the Highland Cemetery in Medicine Lodge.
