Dorene Phye, 94, Salina, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2005.Mrs. Phye was born Dorene Schnelle on June 3, 1911 at Sharon. She was a homemaker and taught for 13 years for Barber County grade schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley A. Phye in 1982. Survivors include a son, Fred Phye and wife Anita of Salina; a daughter, Linda Kastle and husband Mike of LeRoy; a sister, Florence Cox of Medicine Lodge; four grandchildren, Kristy Griffin of Lynd, MN., Scott Phye of Salina, Candy Domann of Hays and Holly McKenzie of Parsons; and two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Mallory Griffin of Lynd, MN.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27th at the First Christian Church in Medicine Lodge.
Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church, 300 S Main, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104.
There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
