Dorothy L. Ruark, 66, died September 15, 2007 at her home in Medicine Lodge. She was born February 19, 1941 at Kiowa, Kansas, the daughter of Eugene and Lanora (West) Pardee. A lifetime resident of Barber County, she was a waitress at Master’s Cafe and worked as a CNA, retiring in 2001. She was of the Christian Faith.On June 8, 1962, she married Howard Lee Ruark at Medicine Lodge. He died August 21, 2003. Survivors include two sons Tony Ruark, Wichita, Lamont Ruark, San Jose, Arizona; three daughters Samantha McComb, Cherokee, Oklahoma, Martha West and her husband Daniel, Medicine Lodge and Sadie Green and her husband Mike, Medicine Lodge; three brothers, Kevin Pardee, Mississippi, Zane Pardee and Marvin Pardee, both of California; 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Lou Wanda Ruark; two brothers Ralph and Stanley Pardee, and a grandchild, Taylor Bloesser.
Memorial service was held on September 19 at Larrison Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge. Private inurment will be at a later date in Hazelton Cemetery, Hazelton.
