Glenn A. Stephens Sr.

Glenn A. Stephens Sr., 71, died January 10, 1998, at Pratt Regional Medical Center.

He was born January 28, 1926, at Hazelton, the son of Jesse S. and Nola D. (Hutchinson) Stephens. A Pratt resident since 1969, moving from Medicine Lodge, he was a retired oilfield roughneck and driller.

He belonged to the Baptist Church and to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Pratt. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include: wife, Linda Looney; three sons, Buddy, Rick and Randy, all of Pratt; a daughter, Barbara Manning, Liberal; a brother, Jimmie, Pratt; a sister, Edith Woodward, Columbus, Ohio; and 10 grand children.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 14, 1998, at Ayres-Calbeck Mortuary, Pratt, with Chaplain John Havens presiding. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.

Memorials may be sent to the Glenn Stephens Memorial Fund or to Victory in the Valley, both in care of the mortuary.
