Barber County Kansas

Marion J. Green, 76, died January 6, 1998, at Hutchinson Hospital. He was born April 20, 1921, at Lima, Ohio, the son of Marion D. and Christina Huber Green. A Medicine Lodge resident for 47 years, moving to Pittsburg, Kansas, he was a retired mechanic for National Gypsum, Medicine Lodge.

He belonged to First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

On August 23, 1945, he married Joan Williams at Arcadia. She survives. Other survivors include: a son, Michael D. Green, Medicine Lodge; a daughter, Cherly Holt, Medicine Lodge; a brother, Frederic E. Green, Port Huron, Michigan; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation is planned. Private service will be held at a later time.

Larrison-Forsyth Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge, was in charge of arrangements.
