Topic: Marriages/funerals by Rev. Arthur Metcalf

Rev. Arthur Metcalf (b. 1864 Lincolnshire, England, d. 1933 El Paso, TX) was a Congregational minister, spouse Ida Miller, two children: Col. Frederic Arthur Metcalf, and Etta Louise Metcalf. Arthur was my great uncle. I know what happened to Frederic, but all I know about Etta is that she married Wayne K. Greene and moved to Oregon. I would appreciate any information anyone has on her descendants.

Both Arthur and Frederic were avid photographers, and I have several of their photo albums. In addition, I have ArthurÕs pastor book covering 1900 to 1910 containing his sermon subjects, the marriages and funerals he performed, and lists of his congregations. During this period, he served churches in the following cities:

Lake Linden, Kewenaw County, Michigan
Garret, Anderson County, Kansas
Independence, Montgomery County, Kansas
Des Moines, Des Moines County, Iowa
Webster City, Hamilton County, Iowa

Frederic graduated in the class of 1911 from Webster City High School, and I have found pictures of this class among the photo albums, as well as various buildings that may be of significance to local history of the places where they lived. I am still going over the albums.

I am trying to locate any relatives of: Lena May, Kitty Lee(Kathryne) or Jesse Leroy Feltz. Their parents died in Tyro on November 6, 1915. I have a copy of The Tyro Truth dated Nov. 12, 1915 which covers the death of their parents & brother. These children were my grandfathers first cousins. We have no idea what happened to them. The paper states that their uncle, S.N. Feltz took care of funeral arrangements. It also states that the funeral was held at the M.E. church and they were buried at the Point Cemetary. Mother & son were put in same grave. Parents were: Preston H. Feltz & Mary Etta Woody Feltz. Their son was named Nelson. He was nine years old. Since there are still some Felts in Coffeyville I think there might be a connection. I would appreciate any input! Preston Feltz was U.S. Marshall for some time.
