I have found on census forms that ancestors of mine lived in Brewster,
Thomas County, Kansas. I would like to know if there is someone that
does research in cemeteries around the area.
The surname is very unusual.....SONDAY

I am seeking any information on Hermann Franke. The paper trail that I
have found is as follows.
1. From Vol# 30 of "Germans to America" page 203. He arrived with his
family and it is listed as follows.
Franke, Friedrich 48 M Miller Occupation
Friedericka 47 F Unk
Max 18 M Miller Occupation
Ida 9 F child
Hermann 4 M child
They arrived at the port of Baltimore, MD on 18 August 1873 on the North German Lloyd vessel Baltimore from Bremen, Germany.
2. He is next found in the 19 June 1880 Federal census for Thomas Co.

Ida W F 17 Daughter

3. He is next found in a Kansas state census in March 1885 in the
township of Thomas as follows. His sister Ida has left the farm and
gotten married to Henry W. Ottken in 1884.

His father Frederick Franke died on 8 Dec. 1895 and in the 1900 Federal census his mother Fredericke is living with the Henry Ottken family in Solomon twp Sheridan County Kansas. His mother Fredericke Franke died on 20 Dec. 1906. His sister Ida died on 10 June 1933. They are all buried in the Oakley, Logan County Kansas cemetery.

Jasper GOIN, son of Sterling and Mary (KECK) GOIN, married Rachel
HUNTER, daughter of Jefferson and Rosanah (BEELER) HUNTER at Claiborne
county Tennessee November 15, 1872. By 1900 they were in Thomas county,
living in Lacey township. I understand Rachel died in Thomas county in
