Helen Connor, 89, WaKeeney, died Friday, April 11, 2008, at Trego County Lemke-Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney. She was born Feb. 5, 1919, in WaKeeney, to Joseph Frank and Amalie (Michaelis) Gorsky. She graduated from Trego Community High School. She married Otis Watson. She later married Larry Connor on April 19, 1974, in WaKeeney. She was owner of Helen's Cafe for more than 40 years.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; a daughter, Genevieve Duncan, two brothers, Ed Gorsky, and Joe Gorsky, a sister, Marvel McGuire, two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gene Watson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, WaKeeney; burial in Christ the King Catholic Cemetery, WaKeeney.
