JoElla Courtney, 87, Pratt, formerly of WaKeeney, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Lakewood Senior Living Center, Pratt.
She was born Sept. 27, 1921, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Thomas Earl and Berta Lee (Hunter) Box.
She married Richard Scott Courtney on Dec. 28, 1946, in Hutchinson; He preceded her in death in August 1989. She was a receptionist for the city of WaKeeney from 1981 to 1986.
Survivors include three daughters, Kim Claycamp, Lee Courtney Merrill, and Jil Galloway; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Interment in the WaKeeney City Cemetery.
