William David "Billy" LOFLIN

William David "Billy" Loflin, 82, Ellis, died Thursday, May 6, 2010, Hays Medical Center.

He was born March 10, 1928, in Hays to William F. and Ruth (Dunham) Loflin. He was a 1946 graduate of Ellis High School.

He married Virginia Armbruster on July 28, 1955, in Ellis. He was a farmer and drove a school bus for the WaKeeney school district for more than 25 years.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Ellis, Hays City Sportsman's Club and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Tonya Keller and husband, Ernie, and Geraldine Jamison and husband, Milton; a sister, Esther King, Kassandra Irwin, and Kevin Keller; two nephews, Royce and Phillip King; and two nieces, JoAnn Paschal and Shirley Voran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Harry, Glenn and Carl, and a sister, Edith Hazlett.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church, Ellis; burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Ellis.
