Clara Montgomery, 94, WaKeeney, died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital Long Term Care, WaKeeney.
She was born June 10, 1912, in rural Trego County to George William and Lena (Weidman) Mollenkamp. She graduated from Arnold High School and Fort Hays Normal Teaching School.
She married William "Bud" Russel Montgomery on Jan. 24, 1937, in WaKeeney. He preceded her in death June 24, 1999. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Montgomery, and Allen Montgomery, three daughters, Virginia Windholz, Barbara Thompson, and Arlene Garrett, two brothers, Harold Mollenkamp, and Eugene Mollenkamp, 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, John William Montgomery; a infant daughter, June Lee Montgomery; and a grandchild.Burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery.
