2-22-1940 — 3-22-2007Gary Newell, 67, Damar, died Thursday, March 22, 2007, at his home. He was born Feb. 22, 1940, in Graham County, son of Harvey Archie and Docile Solange (Manny) Newell. He married Lorraine Hence on Oct. 20, 1962. They later divorced. He married Sharon Troutman on Dec. 24, 1991. He was a mule farmer and oil field worker.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; four daughters, Monica Bebe, Michelle Dreiling and Deena Paxson, and Desiree Double, two stepdaughters, Jena Velharticky, and Kayla Velharticky, three brothers, Larry Newell and Glenn Newell, and Myron Newell, two sisters, Gloria Carson, and Claudia Leutters, 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at the Redline Church of God, Palco; private family inurnment will follow at a later date.
