Dorothy Owens, 78, died Saturday, June 20, 2011, in England, the daughter of Stephen & Catherine (Smith) Kite. She married David Owens; he died in October 1965. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church & served as deaconess in the late 60�s & early 70�s, & belonged to the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Gibson, & Mrs. Violet Heaton.

Burial was in the WaKeeney City Cemetery, in WaKeeney, Kansas.
