Grace M. Rhoades, 85, died October 15, 1994 at the Trego County Long-term Care in WaKeeney, Ks.

She was born October 26, 1908, at Princeton, to Charles & Anna (Blough) Tawney.
She married John T. Rhoades on November 2, 1925, at Hays, Ks. He died on March29, 1974. She was a homemaker & a longtime resident of Trego County. She was an avid crocheter & excellent seamstress, making over 100 Afghans.
Grace was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Martha Circle, a 50 year member of Rebecca Lodge #465, American Legion Auxiliary, all of WaKeeney.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Shelton, Viola Schirer & husband, Robert, & Shirley Taylor & husband Kenneth, five grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, & one great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter, Lynette Baker, & one son-in-law, Dale Shelton.
Burial was in the WaKeeney City Cemetery, WaKeeney, Ks.
