Frederick William "Bill" SCHOENTHALER

Frederick William "Bill" Schoenthaler, 100, WaKeeney, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital Long Term Care. He was born Nov. 4, 1907, in Ellis County to Joseph and Amalie (Deutscher) Schoenthaler. He married Zeta May Duncan on April 26, 1930, in Ellis. She preceded him in death. He was a farmer and stockman.
Survivors include a son, Laverne Schoenthaler, a daughter, Shirley Engel, a sister, Ida Deines, nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a step-great-great-grandchild.
A daughter, Ruth Benisch, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, WaKeeney; burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery.
