Wilhelmina H. "Minnie" SCHOENTHALER

Wilhelmina Henrietta 'Minnie' Schoenthaler was born on the farmstead in rural Rooks, County near Zurich, KS on October 28, 1918, to William and Albertina (Jantz) Trarbach. She passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009 in the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital at WaKeeney at the age of 90.
As a young girl, Minnie attended rural Zurich schools. She was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church of Ellis, KS.
On October 28, 1943, Minnie's 25th birthday, she was united in marriage to Adam Joseph Schoenthaler. Minnie loved working alongside Adam on the farm, milking, tending chickens, and caring for her garden. Adam passed away January 25, 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth and wife, Linda, Randy and wife, Tammy; a daughter, Barbara Daniels and husband, Robert; five grandchildren, Chad Schoenthaler and wife, Joleen, Dr. Shanon Custer and husband, Brice, Clark Daniels and wife, Laura, Sara Schoenthaler, and Bobby Miller and wife, Jonna; eight great-grandchildren, Brandon, Corbin and Madison Schoenthaler; Justin and Jarred Daniels, Jaxson Miller, Austin & Mason Hernandez; and a brother, Walter Trarbach and wife, Lila, of Wichita.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Adam; two brothers, Carl and Edward Trarbach; and three sisters, Adeline Lambert, Edna Schonthaler, and Alberta Hayes.
Services for Minnie were held Saturday, June 13, 2009 in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at WaKeeney with Pastor Randy Gibbs officiating. Interment is in the WaKeeney City Cemetery.
