Bertha Eichman Yanda. 80, Quinter, died Tuesday; Dec. 23, 2008, at her home. She was born Sept. 12, 1928, near WaKeeney to John Fred and Bertha (Bender) Eichman.
She married Edwin V. Yanda June 5, 1946, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Collyer. He preceded her in death Feb. 28, 1992. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn Yanda, Birdie (Bertha) Noel and Kathleen Toguchi, and Julie Ross; three brothers, Paul Eichman, Herman' Eichman, and Thelmar Eichman; four sisters, Leah Myers and Elsie Kirksiek, , Alma Helwig, and Martha Stegman; 11 grandchildren; and 13 greatÂ-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marijo Rivers.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, 901 S. Main, Quinter; inurnment in Baker Township Cemetery, Quinter.
