Obituary of EMANUEL STEINERT |
Emanuel Steinert, 82, of Russell, died Saturday at the hospital in Hoisington. He was born Jan. 8, 1891, in Russell County. He married Lydia Whitman on April 28, 1910, and she died Jan. 21, 1919. He married Lydia Wassemiller on March 10, 1920, and she preceded him in death on March 20, 1970. Mr. Steinert farmed near Milberger until 1949 when he moved to Russell. He has been a resident of the Homestead Villa in Hoisington for the past two years. He was a member of the United Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milberger. Survivors include four sons, Lewis, Hayes; and Leo, Leland and Hubert, all from Great Bend; a daughter, Mrs. Viola Darby, El Monte, Calif.; one brother, Dave, Hoisington; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the United Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milberger with Revs. Robert S. Krier and G. Weise officiating. Burial will be in the Milberger cemetery. Friends may call at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and from noon until service time at the church. (Funeral Card) (Funeral Notice) |
