Death Records

OFGS has a huge amount of death records from many sources.

We have copies of original documents as well as newspaper copies of obituary notices.

OFGS has index cards covering the years 1873-2021, we have 2 large bound books photocopied from the Bourbon County records dating from 1911-1989, notebooks of various sizes and from parts of the county dating back to 1854 before death records were required and also a copy of the Undertaker's Report starting in 1911.

Some death records can be located in our Cemetery Books.

If you know an ancestor's date of death and want a copy of their obituary, and it isn't in our files, we will try to locate the obituary in our microfilm.
