Hours are 10:00am - 6:00pm Monday-Saturday,
but if the "Open" sign is on, come on down.
The Old Fort Genealogical Society is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to preserving the history of our families and our communities. We now house genealogy, history and archeology information.
OFGS is a genealogical, historical and now archeological research center. We accept research requests for your genealogy needs for an individual or family information. We research historical locations, businesses in Bourbon County, Boarder Wars and Civil War events in Bourbon County, communities that your ancestor might have lived in or started, and any other topic you might need. OFGS is still working on a "Lost Cemetery" as an archeological site and plans on continuing to uncover the lost stories of our ancestors.
Contact us via phone, email or come visit our location where our volunteers will answer your questions and take down your request for follow-up. OFGS will research for you – so just ask.
