This Indenture, Made this 3rd day of December, A.D., 1894, between R. B. & Mary M. CATLIN husband & wife of Cloud County, the in the state of Kansas, of the first part, and J. A. DARROW of Cloud County, in the State of Kansas, of the second part:

Witnesseth, That ___, said parties of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand and X DOLLARS, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, all the following-described Real Estate, situated in the County of Cloud and State of Kansas, to Wit:

The South (1/2) of the north East quarter (1/4) North west quarter of the of the north East quarter (1/4) Section thirty (30) Town Eight (8) Range two (2) west 6th P.M. & Containing One hundred & Twenty (120) acres more or less

To have and to hold the same, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments, and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, forever.

And said R. B. & Mary M. CATLIN for themselves, their heirs, executors or administrators, do hereby covenant, promise, and agree, to and with said party of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents they are lawfully seized in their own right of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of an in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, discharged, and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assessments, and incumbrances, of what nature or kind soever: Except one mortgage of a Balance of $360 to E. P. WARREN due June 3/ 97 @ 7% int from date & one mortgage of 226.00 to Cloud County Bank Concordia Kas no int and that they will WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND the same unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against said party of the first part, their heirs, and all and every person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same.

CARPENTER wife and husband of the County of Ellsworth County, the in the state of Kansas, of the first part, and Perry V GROUT of County of Cloud County, in the State of Kansas, of the second part:

Witnesseth, That ___, said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of six hundred and no/100 DOLLARS, to them in hand paid by said party of the second part before the delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do has by these presents grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto she said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever, all the following-described real estate lying and situate in the County of Cloud and State of Kansas, to Wit:

All of Lots (9) nine (10) ten (11) eleven and the East (1/2) half of lot (14) fourteen in Block seven in the city of Jamestown and all of Lots No. (10) ten (11) eleven (12) twelve (13) thirteen (14) fourteen (15) fifteen (16) sixteen (17) seventeen and (18) eighteen in O. P. Goulds addition to Jamestown Kansas

To have and to hold the Same, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments, and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, forever unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever.

And said Ophelia CAPENTER & A. E. CARPENTER for themselves their heirs, executors or administrators, does hereby covenant, promise, and agree, to and with said party of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents they are lawfully seized in their own right of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of an in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, discharged, and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assessments, and incumbrances, of what nature or kind soever: and the said premises, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns and against all and every person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same. They shall and will warrant and by these presents forever defend.

Receivers Deed

Know All Men By These Presents, That whereas on the 4th Day of September, 1896 in the circuit court of the United States District of Kansas in a certain action wherein the Girard Life Insurance Annuity and trust company of Philadelphia, Trustee under the will of Wistar MORRIS deceased was complainant and The J. B. Watkins Land Mortgage Company, J. B. Watkins, and the Farmers Loan and Trust Company were defendants on consideration said court did appoint and constitute M. SUMERFIELD, J. B. WATKINS and J. F. SWITZER Receivers of the property of the J. B. Watkins Land Mortgage company and after such appointment the said receivers duly qualified as required by law and order of the court and have since been and now are Receivers of the said The J. B. Watkins Land Mortgage Company.

And whereas said Receivers are duly authorized by the power appointing them to make sales and conveyances of lands and property of the said The J. B. Watkins Land Mortgage Company upon the approval of the said court; and whereas the real estate hereinafter described and conveyed constitutes a part of the assets of The J. B. Watkins Land Mortgage Company now in the hands of said receivers and whereas said Receivers have sold the said Real Estate to Elza R. GRECIAN and the said sale was by the said court duly approved and confirmed and the said Receivers ordered to make a Deed conveying said real estate to Elza R. Grecian and whereas the record title of said real estate stands in the Name of J. B. WATKINS an unmarried man of the County of Douglas, State of Kansas

Now Therefore We M. SUMMERFIELD J. B. WATKINS and J. F. SWITZER Receivers as aforesaid and J. B. WATKINS in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred Fifty ($350) Dollars to us in hand paid receipt of which is hereby acknowledged to hereby sell transfer and convey unto Elza R. GRECIAN of the County of Cloud state of Kansas all that tract or parcel of land described as follows towit: The South West quarter of the South West quarter of Section Number Thirty Three 33 Township number Seven 7 Range number Five 5 West of the sixth P. M. containing Forty (40) acres more or less wit all the estate right title and interest of the said The J. B. Watkins Land Mortgage Company and J. B. WATKINS in and to said land and each and Every part thereof

In Witness Whereof We M. SUMMERFIELD J. B. WATKINS and J. F. SWITZER receivers of the J. B. Watkins Mortgage Company and J. B. WATKINS have hereunto set our hands this 16th day of February A.D. 1900

The South half of the North West Quarter of Section Twenty five (25), Township Eight (8) South Range Three (3) West of the 6" Principal Meridian.

To have and to hold the same, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments, and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, forever.

And said F. S. SMITH and Pearl R. SMITH, his wife, for themselves, their heirs, executors or administrators, do hereby covenant, promise, and agree, to and with said party of the second part, that at the delivery of these presents they are lawfully seized in their own right of an absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance, in fee simple, of an in all and singular the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances; that the same are free, clear, discharged, and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants, titles, charges, estates, judgments, taxes, assessments, and incumbrances, of what nature or kind soever: Except one mortgage of $800, half of which is upon the above land and the taxes for 1892 and which said second party agrees and assumed to pay as part of the purchase money and that they will WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND the same unto said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against said party of the first part, their heirs, and all and every person or persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to claim the same.
