DEATH OF MRS. J. H. AMES

Mrs. J. H. Ames, who before her marriage was Miss Eva Ricketts, died on last Saturday, February 7, 1920, at her home in Shawnee, Okla., from heart trouble. The body was brought to this city on Monday and burial was made yesterday in the Greensburg cemetery, following funeral services at the home of he parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Ricketts, eight miles northwest of this city. Deceased was born in Jersey-co., Ill., on August 24, 1890. Her age, therefore, at the time of her death was 29 years, 5 months and 14 days. At the age of 8 years she became a member of the Baptist church, but two years later she united with the Presbyterian church and throughout the remainder of her life lived a consistent christian. In St. Louis, Mo., on May 27, 1908, she was united in marriage with J. H. Ames. She is survived by her husband and a daughter, Anna Drusilla, aged five years. Mrs. Ames ws a devoted wife and mother, and her untimely death is mourned by all who knew her. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of all.
