George Atherton, baggage agent at the Southern Kansas depot at Harper, Kansas, committed suicide Tuesday morning by shooting himself with a revolver. No reason is assigned for the rash act. He was about 36 years of age and had been in the employ of railroad company at Harper for about three years.
