Not long since the leg was amputated, and her death followed a few weeks later. Mrs. Clare's many friends here will greatly regret to learn of her death. She was a woman of rare culture, and possessed many of the finest womanly qualities. She had long been an active member of the Presbyterian church and her influence and her talent in music and as a teacher were freely given toward helping in every line of church, Sunday school and social work. Her memory will long be cherished by a host of friends wherever she has lived.
