Connaughton - East

The following article is clipped from the Kingman Journal of January 6:

At high noon, Dec. 25, 1904, Elder H. C. Clark pronounced the magic words which united for weal or woe the hearts of Lois Ethel East and John H. Connaughton of Rago, Kansas. The wedding occurred at the bride's father's home. After congratulations had been offered, the company were ushered into the dinning room where a most bountiful Christmas wedding dinner awaited the guests.

Ethel East is a daughter of A.. H. East of Valley township. She is a lovable young lady, and will no doubt make a good wife, and will adorn her husband's home with grace and beauty. John Connaughton is the genial railroad agent at Rago, Kas. He has proven to to be a good provider and loving husband, and we think he will not be found wanting.

Quite a large company of relatives and friends were present, most of whom went to Sunday school and church about 3 o'clock. This young couple started right, and may they always so go through life.
