Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Dickinson, who lived in this city for some time, are now residents of Hammond, Ind. It was just three years ago on February 26 that their son, Glenn, died in this city and was buried here. In remembrance of that event, Mrs. Dickinson composed the following original lines which were received by the Star with the request that they be published:
Our Glenn, so young, so strong, noble and good,
Was taken from us to fill a good and holy place;
We miss thee from our home, dear Glenn,
We miss thee from they place.
A shadow o'er our life is cast,
We miss the sunshine of thy face,
We miss thy kind and willing hand,
Thy fond and earnest care;
Our home is dark, without thee,
We miss thee everywhere.Glenn Dickinson was buried at Crown Hill Cemetery.
