Obituary.

Ralph Robert Gray, son of Lewis and Anna Gray, was born August 14, 1914, near Protection, Kansas, and passed away in Norton, Kansas, May 10, 1947, at the age of 32 years, 8 months and 26 days.

He attended the rural schools and the Protection schools and was engaged in farming until his health failed. While he was in Colorado he learned the jewelry business and became an expert watch and clock repairmen and engaged in that business both in Coldwater and in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While he was in the sanitarium he taught others the trade and was ever thoughtful of others, and always kind and patient. When he was a small boy he united with the Protection Methodist church and lived a consistent Christian life.

In November, 1940, he was united in marriage with Miss Mary Jane Walliser of Hartford, Kansas. To this union were born two daughters - Carolyn Frances, age 4, and Mary Roberta, age 3. He is survived by his wife and children, also by his father, Lewis Gray of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Francis Newmark of Denver, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his mother, who died in October, 1946, and one brother, Edgar, who passed away in 1935.

The sorrowing relatives have the sincere sympathy of all.
