The Western Star, March 19, 1926.

DOROTHY VIRGINIA GREGG

After an illness which lasted for about four weeks, and which resulted from a complication of whooping cough and pneumonia, little Dorothy Virginia Gregg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philo Gregg, died at 2:40 p.m. on last Sunday, March 14, 1926, at the Gregg home on the Biddle ranch, southeast of this city. At the time of her death she was 3 years, 7 months and 22 days of age. She is survived by her parents and by two brothers, Muriel and Charley, and by two sisters, Mildred and Rachel.

Dorothy was an affectionate child, and always radiated sunshine in the home and wherever she went. Her passing away leaves the home sadly bereft, and to the sorrowing relatives the sincere sympathy of all goes out in the loss of their loved one.

Funeral services were conducted from the M. E. church in this city on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. J. B. Handy being in charge. He gave a message of hope and of comfort, using as his text the words, "Behold the Lamb of God." Rev. Cummings returned from Isabel on the afternoon train in time to assist in the services. There was a large attendance of neighbors and friends, including nearly all of the pupils and teachers in the C. H. S. Flowers in profusion reflected the loving thoughtfulness of friends of the family. The girls Quartet from C. H. S. composed of Alice Boshell, Vivian Janson, Helen Holmes and Josephine Korff sang at the home and acted as pall bearers. At the church a ladies quartet composed of Mrs. V. J. Allderdice, Mrs. W. B. Robbins, Mrs. Fanny Swisher and Mrs. Martha Zerby sang. It was a very impressive service. Burial was made in Crown Hill cemetery.
