Mrs. Ellen Johnson, a widow of Shimer township and the mother of five children came to this city July 30th and made final proof of her claim in that township before the District clerk. She was apparently in good health at the time, but returning home was taken sick and died on Tuesday, July 2_. Letters of guardianship were issued Ezra P. Guard the first of the week, as guardian of her estate, the children all being minors.
