The Oliver Paul McCay Family

Oliver Paul McCay, second son of James and Carrie (Behler) McCay, was born at his parents home in the New Eden Comminty in Comanche County on March 2, 1900. He attended grade school in New Eden and high school in Coldwater, Kansas. During World War I, he served in the U.S. Navy.

In October of 1931 he married Edra Pauline Shields who had come from Missouri to the Coldwater to visit her sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Jim Herd. Her parents were Arnett and Atlanta Shields.

O.P. and Edra made their home 11 miles south of Coldwater at Buttermilk, Kansas. They have two daughters, Paula and Michelyn.

Paula married Richard King (home: Coldwater, Kansas) and their children are: Shannon, Richelle, Robert, Jennifer and Nathan.

Michelyn married Bob Williams (home: Tacoma, Washington) and their children are: Michael, Mitchell, Kelly and Lori.

O.P. and Edra's present home is now in Coldwater, Kansas.
