Services were held for Frank Kermit McMillin on Monday, September 12, 1966 at 1:30 p.m., in the Coldwater Christian Church. Rev. George F. Baugh officiated. Mrs. Frances Burkhall accompanied Mrs. Lena Haun and Mrs. Bonnie Frazier as they sang "Goodnight and Good Morning" and "Go Down The Valley". Pallbearers were Glenn Hess, James Herrington, John Schenk, Myrl Haun, Gene Uhl, and Bill Herd.Interment was in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Coldwater.
Obituary Frank Kermit McMillin, son of Robert and Lola McMillin, was born May 2, 1903 at Vinton County, Ohio, and departed this life at the Comanche County Hospital, Coldwater, Kans, September 9, 1966 at the age of 63 years, 4 months and 7 days.
Frank grew to manhood in Ohio and received his education at Wilksville, Ohio. He enlisted in the 7th Cavalry in 1918 and was stationed in Texas. He came to Comanche County in 1921 and made his home with the Bert Griffith family.
Frank and Alice Mathis were united in marriage at Coldwater, Kans., June 6, 1928. Three children were born to this union, two sons and a daughter.
For the past 14 years, he was employed as manager of the Independent Oil Company.
He accepted Christ as his Saviour and was buried with Him in baptism, placing his membership in the Coldwater Christian Church, September 24, 1942.
He was a member of the Comanche Masonic Lodge, No. 295, Modern Woodmen, and Lions Club.
He leaves to mourn his passing the family he loved so deeply: His wife, Alice, of the home; a son Donald, and wife, Jean, and three children of Protection; a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Stiles, and four children of Bucklin, Kans.; a son, Kermit Wesley, and wife, Carolyn, and three children of Incline Village, Nev.
He will be greatly missed by all his relatives and friends.
