Glenn Moreton

Glenn A. Moreton, 76, died March 15, 1982 at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg.

Born April 24, 1905 at San Bernadino, Calif., he married Juanita Emerson July 10, 1926 at Sawyer. He was a retired mechanic and had lived in Comanche County since 1977.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Thorton, Colo.

Survivors include the widow of the home; two sons, Bill, Carrizo Springs, Texas and Jerry of the home; foster son, Glenn Bartholomew, Denver; daughter, Glennda Burt, Coldwater; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral was last Thursday, March 18, 1982 at the Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater with Gib Clark officiating.

Burial was at Crown Hill Cemetery, Coldwater.

David W. Allender, b. 1829 in PA and d. 1901 in Polk Co., MO, married Margaret J. (___?), who was b. 1836 in PA and d. 1897 in Polk Co., MO.

Both David & Margaret are buried in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, Dallas County, MO.



"Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Ferrin and family, Mrs. Barnett and Geneva, made a trip to Sealing, Okla., last Thursday and visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Moreton and family. Mr. Ferrin traded for a new Chevrolet car while there." -- (excerpt from) Wilmore News, The Wilmore News, October 18, 1936.
