Earl O'Connell

Services were held at the Hatfield Funeral Home in Coldwater on Monday, August 7, 1967 at 9:30 a.m. for Earl O'Connell, who passed away at the Comanche County Hospital on Friday, August 4 following a long illness.

Rev. Finis G. Hodges officiated. Organist was Mrs. Charles R. Jackson. Mrs. Frank Weber sang "God's Tomorrow."

Pallbearers were Eldon Hecht, Horace Parker, Charles Jackson, Vernon Pepperd, Floyd Fleming, and C. C. Peterie. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Ferguson, Dr. Ronald McCoy, Ernest Miller, Mark Brown, Ward Butcher, Asa Hoofer, Robert Brass and Delmar Bottorff.

Interment was in Riverview Cemetery, Kiowa, Kans.

Obituary.

Earl O'Connell was born in Barber county August 23, 1889. He came to Comanche county in 1905 and lived on a ranch. In January of 1933 he married Ruth Justis in Kiowa, Kans. They moved into Coldwater in 1944.

Mr. O'Connell was a member of the Presbyterian church and Beta Theta Pi.

Survivors include his wife and two nephews, Jim O'Connell, Belle Plaine, and Joe O'Connell of Conroe, Texas.

Mr. O'Connell spent his last five years in the Comanche County Hospital.
