Mrs. Ernest Parker passed away in Wichita, Kan., last Friday after an illness of several years.Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church in Coldwater Sunday afternoon, October 16, at 2:30 p.m. and were in charge of the pastor, Rev. Lyle H. Gillham.
Mrs. Frank Weber and Mrs. J. P. Scholle sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "My God and I," accompanied on the organ by Mrs. E. H. Gregg. Pallbearers were John Wood, Vernon and Alfred Bliss, Lloyd Beagley, Harold Hodgson and Kenneth Hackney. Interment was in the Crown Hill cemetery near this city.
Obituary. Marjorie Bell Parker was born in Butler county, Kansas, near Cassoday on September 21, 1918, and departed this life October 14, 1955, in St. Joseph Hospital, Wichita, Kans., at the age of 37 years and 23 days.
At an early age she with her parents moved to a farm near Lookout, Okla., where she grew to womanhood. She attended the Pleasant Valley school near Lookout and was graduated from the Freedom, Okla., high school.
In early womanhood she united with the Methodist church.
Marjorie was united in marriage with Ernest K. Parker on October 11, 1941, at Enid, Okla. Since that time they made their home on the Parker ranch northeast of Lookout.
Although Marjorie had been in failing health for a number of years, she as always uncomplaining and was a kind and loving wife.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband Ernest; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neukirch, Sr., of Alva, Okla., seven brothers, Lewis of Cassoday, Kans., Leslie and Frank of El Dorado, Kans., George of Greeley, Colo., William of Coldwater, Kans., Fred Jr., of Lookout, Okla., and Reigh of Akron, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Chase of Freedom, Okla., Mrs. Hazel Hall of El Dorado, Kans., and Mrs. Gladys Link of Alva, Okla., and by a number of nieces and nephews, besides a host of friends.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
