Rites Held Saturday For C. C. Peterie

C. C. (Pete) Peterie passed away at the Kiowa County Hospital in Greensburg, Kans., on Wednesday, November 26, 1969.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 29, 1969, at the Hatfield Funeral Home in Coldwater, Kans., at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ralph Barcelo officiating.

Mrs. Hazel McMurray, organist, accompanied Rev. and Mrs. Ralph Barcelo as they sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Beyond The Sunset."

Pallbearers were members of the Comanche Lodge No. 295, A. F. & A. M. Interment was in Ellenwood Cemetery, Sawyer, Kans.

Obituary.

Corbley C. Peterie was born September 22, 1896 to J. D. and Fedelia Peterie in Grundy county, Missouri. When he was six years of age, the family moved to Kansas.

In April of 1917 he enlisted in the United States Army Air Force and was honorably discharged on December 24, 1918.

He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 122 of Coldwater and the Comacnhe Lodge No. 295, A. F. & A. M.

He was married to Maude Brown April 30, 1921. She has been his faithful companion for 48 years.

He was a retired transport driver and had lived in Coldwater for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife of the home, an aunt in Wichita, several cousins, and a host of friends who affectionately knew him as "Pete."
