J. D. Ray died in this city last Wednesday evening, April 4, at 10:05 p.m. of acute phthisis (sic). The deceased has been confined to the house nearly all winter, but was not bed ridden until about a week ago. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his death. The remains were buried in Crown Hill cemetery yesterday.
