Fred W. Robbins, 80, died on Saturday, March 17, 1972, at the Harper County Hospital in Buffalo, Okla., after a short illness.Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 21, 1972, at 2 p.m. at the Hatfield Funeral Home with Bernard Plumb officiating. Mrs. Bonnie Frazier and Mrs. Martha Cline sang "After" and "Abide With Me," accompanied by Mrs. Frances Burkhall.
Pallbearers were Bill Neukirch, Floyd Thompson, Lem Herd, Virgil McIntyre, Ralph Griffith and Hoag Atteberry. Honorary pallbearers were Donald Booth, Joe Harkleroad, Porter Smith, Hod Rich, John McMoran, Jim Allderdice, Lutzie Poltera, and Frank Daily.
Interment was in Crown Hill Cemetery, Coldwater, Kansas.
Obituary Fred W. Robbins was born September 9, 1891 at Bushton, Kans., the son of W. B. and Myrtle Robbins and passed away March 18, 1972 in the Harper County Hospital at Buffalo, Okla. He was a member of the Methodist church in Bushton where he lived with his parents until they moved to Coldwater, Kans., in 1905.
He was married to Florine Cooper on November 22, 1911 at Coldwater, Kans. He was a charter member of the Coldwater Country Club where he spent many enjoyable hours helping to keep it beautiful. He was never too busy to help others in time of need.
Survivors include his widow, two daughters: Mrs. Virginia Nunnally of Ft. Worth, Texas and Mrs. Dorothy Medved of San Francisco, Calif., one son, William L. Robbins of Seal Beach, Calif., a brother, Lloyd Robbins of Phoenix, Ariz., and two grandchildren, Greg and Robin Medved. His parents and a sister, Mrs. Gladys Rackley preceded him in death.
