Mrs. Roy Smith of Greensburg died Saturday, December 14, 1974, at the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital. She was 80 years old.Mrs. Ethel Anna Smith was born September 10, 1894, in Kiowa County, the daughter of William R. and Mary Messenger Cobb. She was married to Roy Smith July 23, 1913 at Greensburg. They lived on a farm south of Greensburg until 1968 when they moved into Greensburg.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Triple O Club and Priscilla Club.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Walter of Iola and Ray of Wilmore; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Davis of Leoti and Mrs. Mary Hayse of Tularosa, NM; one brother, John Cobb of El Paso, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Taves of Alamosa, Colo., Mrs. Edit Northrup of Monte Vista, Colo., and Mrs. Helen Ihloff of Jetmore, Kans.; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist church with Rev. Harry C. Walz officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
Fleener Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
