Sidney Stoker, who was seriously injured in a gravel pit accident on December 22 died in the Comanche County hospital Wednesday, December 30, due to tetanus and complications.Funeral services were held in the Coldwater Christian church Saturday, January 2, at 2:30 p.m. and were in charge of the pastor, Claude Wright.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Cline sang "Only a Touch" and "Precious Lord, Take My Hand," with Mrs. Roy Burkhall as accompanist. The active pallbearers were Lloyd Ward, Bennie Bain, Richard Jarnagin, Victor White, Carl Burkhall and Allen Cline and the honorary pallbearers were John Black, James Monroe, Mort Newton, Henry Waller, John Boley, V. W. Seyfrit, Kenneth Trummel and Martin Downing.
Interment was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Obituary. Sidney Marvin Stoker was born December 19, 1902, in Luttie, Mo., and passed away December 30, 1959, in Coldwater, Kansas. He was 57 years and 11 days of age. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Frankie Adolph Stoker.
Sid was reared in Lutie and had his adult residence in Coldwater since 1927. He was united in marriage to Eula Frost and to this union were born three children: Mrs. Priscilla Geraldean Shackford of Woodland, Calif., and another girl and boy who preceded him in death. Sid was united in marriage with Emma Frost on January 10, 1949.
Sid made his confession of Christ as his Lord and was buried in baptism in the Coldwater Christian church. He worked 18 years for the county.
He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Marie Hayes of Tecumseh, four step-children: Berley Frost of California, Donald Frost of Coldwater, Helen Frost of Coldwater and Mrs. Shelbay Stafford of Salina, Okla., and two grandchildren: Gary and Debra Sue Shackleford. Preceding him in death were two sisters and one brother.
Mr. Stoker was devoted to his family and his Lord.

Sidney Stoker of this city, who was injured severely on December 22 when his left arm was drawn into a gravel conveyor belt, died about 11 o'clock Wednesday morning of this week in the Comanche County Hospital.
In spite of all that medical aid could do, tetanus set in the first of this week. It is stated, and his condition continued to worsen.
At the time the Star goes to press, funeral arrangements had not been made.
