The Western Star, August 5, 1921.

MISS WATSON PASSES AWAY.

Miss Mary Watson, aged 69 years, 5 months and 22 days, died at 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 1921, at the home of her sister, Mrs. R. A. Young, nine miles east and one mile south of this city. She had been in failing health since early last spring, but her last sickness was of only one week's duration. Some form of bowel trouble was given as the immediate cause of her death. The body was taken on Thursday to Willard, Mo., where burial will be made in Cave Springs cemetery, where the father and mother of the deceased are buried. Mr. and Mrs. Young accompanied the body to Missouri.

Deceased was born in Monroe-co., Tennessee, on February 11, 1852. While she was yet quite young she moved with her parents from Tennessee to Green-co., Missouri, where they continued for many years to make their home. After the death of Miss Watson's parents, 25 or more years ago, she began making her home during most of the time with her sister, Mrs. R. A. Young and family. Miss Watson lived a quiet, though busy life. She gave her time to helping in many ways with the work of the home, at all times showing a deep interest in the welfare and happiness of those about her. For many years she had been a member of the M. E. Church South, and had lived a devoted Christian life. During her stay of several years in this county she made many friends here. At the time of her death she expressed herself fully prepared and perfectly willing to go. Miss Watson is survived by one sister, Mrs. R. A. Young of this county, and by three brothers - G. R. Watson of Willard, Mo., and Wm. R. and F. M. Watson of Springfield, Mo. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
